HUGE mural of Stormzy appears in Smithfield ahead of his Dublin gig

A huge mural of rapper Stormzy has appeared in the Smithfield area of Dublin ahead of his gig in the Olympia Theatre tonight.

The amazing artwork was done by the group Subset, and when asked why they chose to paint Stormzy by 98fm, they said it was “due to the fact that we all think he’s a complete boyo”.

They added that they hope the Brit will stop by the mural to see it himself when he visits Dublin today.

Stormzy has already taken to Twitter to share his appreciation for the painting, writing, “Dublin, I don’t know who’s responsible for this but thank you and tomorrow is gonna be MAD. Kicking off the tour strong.”

The rapper will play a sold out show at the Olympia Theatre tonight, and is set to return to Dublin for Longitude at Marlay Park in July.
