Irish stars Aidan Gillen and Charlie Murphy join Peaky Blinders cast

Aidan Gillen and Charlie Murphy have joined the cast of hit crime drama Peaky Blinders.

The Irish stars, who previously appeared in Love/Hate, will join fellow Irish actor Cillian Murphy in the fourth season of the BBC Two drama.

Aidan, who is best known for playing Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish in HBO’s Game of Thrones, and Charlie will be cast in unknown roles, according to Deadline.

Filming for the fourth season of Peaky Blinders is already underway in Liverpool, and it’s expected to air later this year.

The casting news comes after Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody has also been confirmed for the series four cast.

 

Speaking about the new cast members, Peaky Blinders’ creator and writer Steven Knight said, “We have a dream team gathered for series four of Peaky Blinders, coming to us for love of the series which is great.

“Adrien Brody, Aidan Gillen and Charlie Murphy give us a wealth of talent to work with. And with Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley returning, we couldn’t have hoped for more.”
