THIS is how much money RTÉ’s highest-paid star made last year

RTÉ’s highest-paid star, Ryan Tubridy, took home €485,350 from his media firm last year.

The Herald have reported that according to accounts lodged by Ryan’s firm Tuttle Productions Ltd, the Late Late Show host shared directors’ pay of €485,350 with his mother Catherine over a 16-month period – which ended in December.

However, his income, which was made up of €473,138 in salary and €12,212 in pension payments, is significantly lower than the €598,717 he was paid by the firm during the 12-month period that ended in August 2015.

Ryan is still the highest-paid broadcaster in RTÉ, according to the station’s latest figures.

The TV host received fees totalling €495,000 in 2013 and 2014 – which was substantially less than the €752,950 he received in 2012.

Meanwhile, Joe Duffy is the only other RTÉ star to receive over €400,000, with a salary of €416,893.
