Sinead O’Connor has apologised for “viciously” insulting her family in a heartfelt post on Facebook.
Last year, Sinead took to social media to vent her frustration towards her family over disagreements about a house she owns, but eventually sold.
However, in a Facebook post yesterday – the singer expressed serious remorse, and described her actions as “unforgivable”.
“Last year I did something…unforgivable because I was out of my mind. I insulted very viciously, people I love. My family specifically..,” she wrote.

“I want to apologise here for the fact I did such an awful thing. I am nothing but remorseful and it is, as I said, unforgivable…
“Because actually they’re really cool. And it’s me who’s been the total A-Hole. And it really hurt my family, what I did with Facebook.”
The 50 year-old then went on to share a number of happy stories about her family, in order to make amends for what she wrote about them last year.
