Steve Carell reveals hopes to film next Anchorman sequel in Ireland

Steve Carell has revealed that he would love to film another Anchorman sequel in Ireland.

The actor said that because he and his co-stars, including Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner, were “so embraced” when they came to Ireland for the Anchorman 2 premiere back in 2013 – they’d be tempted to film another instalment here.

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment, Steve said, “After my experience in Dublin at the premiere, yes, I could see that happening.”

“I could see us shooting Anchorman in Ireland. We were so embraced when we were there for the premiere.

“[It was] an unforgettable day.”

Steve was promoting Despicable Me 3 in the interview, and his co-star Kristem Wiig said, “We would get no work done”, after joking that she would make her way in to the film some how.

“It would be fine to get no work done. I loved it,” Steve replied.
