Twink owes €250k after failing to pay her mortgage

Twink may be set to lose her home, but a judge has given aher one last chance.

Yesterday Twink was in court for proceedings against her by Start Mortgages.

According to the Irish Daily Mail, the “matter has been going on since 2010” and that the house she owned with ex-husband David Agnew in Knocklyon, Dublin, didn’t have the mortgage paid for five years.

Other payments that were made were also described as “small”.

Twink’s lawyer said that she is now putting her house on the market and is looking “for a six-month adjournment of the proceedings to allow the agreement to be implemented and the sale to progress.

But Start Mortgages said they were opposing the application as the TV personality was in breach of the agreement.

Stating that they had agreed if payment wasn’t made by the end of September last then the lender would seek possession of the house.

Representation for Star Mortgages said the bank was owed about €250,000, including €18,000 arrears.

Twink’s ex-husband David Agnew did not appear in court..

The judge eventually agreed not to possess the house and to allow Twink “one final adjournment”.
