Finbar Furey and Aslan’s Christy Dignam performed a beautiful duet together – and fans were full of praise.
The pair are close friends with Finbar bringing over his banjo to Christy’s house while he was wheel-chair bound having gone through treatment for cancer.
“I was really depressed and at the time I was thinking, ‘Is this how the rest of my life is going to be? In a wheelchair?'” the frontman admitted.

“He came up [to my house] and he has another banjo. We just sat up in the house for about three or four hours just playing songs,” he explained on The Late Late Show.
“Just the way he lifted me brought me totally out of the slump I was in on the day.”
Shortly after on the show, Finbar took out his banjo and sang Green Fields Of France with Christy.

Not a sound was heard as the two music legends performed together.
The audience weren’t the only ones impressed as fans of the musicians took to Twitter to praise their duet.
While some hoped to see an album from the singers, many were in awe of their performance.
