Graham Norton forgot a very special someone in his Nation Television Awards speech – his mother.
The chat show host was honoured for his contribution to broadcasting at the awards.
“This great thing is going to turn to hell already because I forgot to thank my mother,” he said.

His mother Rhoda, Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, Mel Giedroyc, Will Smith, Dolly Parton and Ed Sheeran were among those paying tribute to the Cork native in a pre-recorded segment.
“She totally has [been there for me.] That film, the people that got into that film was incredible,” he said backstage after receiving his honour.
“I got a bit weepy and I don’t get that emotional about things. You don’t think about your work, just get on with it and think who are you interviewing this week.
“But to see all that stuff in one package like that, it was kind of shocking.”
