Ray D’Arcy has revealed why he has to be “more careful” working for RTÉ.
The 52-year-old, who used to work for Today FM, told Tommy Tiernan that there is a big difference between working for the radio station and the national state broadcaster.
“Well, I suppose it’s a state broadcaster, all these people (pointing at the audience) they pay their TV license so I suppose you have to be more careful,” he revealed on The Tommy Tiernan Show last night.

“You just have to be more careful about what you say.
“You could say something on Today FM and it just evaporates up into the ether, whereas in RTE there are people out there, that’s their job I think, they just listen to RTE and say you can’t say that, you can’t say that, balance , balance, balance.”
