Bono to appear on the Late Late Show tonight to defend U2's free album

U2 frontman Bono will set the record straight about their decision to upload their album to millions of phones on the Late Late Show tonight.

The Dublin singer will have a candid conversation with RTE host Ryan Tubridy, and will be joined by guitarist The Edge.

This morning, Tubs hinted on his 2FM show that he is expecting to see the lads on his couch – providing their plane lands on time.

According to the Irish Mirror, Bono and The Edge want to explain why they decided to do their controversial deal with Apple.

“After last week’s revelations on Graham Norton, everyone wants to hear more from the band,” a source told the paper.

“When Songs Of Innocence was released free via iTunes there was uproar and Bono has since apologised to people who didn’t want it in their cloud.

“There’s plenty left to say and Ryan is delighted Bono and The Edge will be dropping by.”
