Brendan O'Connor is finally SAFE now – as RTE rule out Twink TV return

RTE have insisted that Twink won’t be coming back onto the Saturday Night Show – after her fiery feud following her appearance.

The panto queen was spitting blood after RTE and Brendan cut her interview about her missing pooch – billed as the “story of the week” – short after just five minutes.

And yesterday we told how Twink – real name Adele King – confronted the producer of the Saturday Night Show Larry Masterson and Brendan after the cameras switched off.

She said: “I gave them a bollocking. Not only did they f**k up the show, they f**ked up the star guest. I had Brendan down for a smart man.”

Now producer Larry has told the Irish Sun she won’t be coming back soon – despite a record 427,000 tuning in to see Twink reunited with her dog Teddy Bear.

He said: “We did extremely well. We never say no to anybody but there are no immediate plans to have Twink back this, or next week.

“I have worked with Twink for 40 years. as far back as The Live Mike. There are always rows with Twink.”

It emerged yesterday that Brendan had to personally call to Twink’s house to persuade her to come on, after she feared being presented as a “jaded blonde, ditzy Barbie’s granny Twink”.

And Twink said that she is the only way of struggling TV shows boosting their ratings.

She said: “I pack every theatre in the country. I have the biggest TV and radio ratings. When a show isn’t going well, they say, ring Twink that will get the ratings up.”
