Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ ill-fated marriage to be subject of TV drama

Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ doomed marriage will be the next subject of Ryan Murphy’s Feud.

The former royal couple first met in 1977 and married four years later in 1981 before splitting in 1992 and divorcing in 1996.

There are no details yet of who will star in the iconic roles.

Feud: The first series will star Jessica and Susan as Joan and Bette | FX

Feud is an upcoming American anthology television series for FX developed by the Glee co-creator and the first series airs this weekend in the US.

The first series follows the turbulent relationship between Joan Crawford, played by American Horror Stories’ Jessica Lange, and Bette Davis, played by The Big C’s Susan Sarandon.

Ahead of the series launch, bosses at FX have already ordered a 10-episode second series, which will air in 2018.

The royal couple’s doomed marriage is also expected to feature in Netflix’s The Crown, which follows Queen Elizabeth’s reign.
