THIS is how many people tuned into Mrs Brown’s new chat show

All Round To Mrs Brown’s was a ratings success for RTÉ last weekend.

The live show, created by Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll (aka Agnes Brown), was broadcast on both RTÉ and the BBC – attracting 472,000 viewers on Saturday night.

Viewers tuned in to see X Factor judge Louis Walsh, Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, Andy Murray’s mum Judy and singer-songwriter James Blunt appear on the show, and there was plenty of wild antics thanks to Agnes Brown.

Although the show received mixed reviews, it proved a hit in the ratings war as the episode aired before The Ray D’Arcy Show, which has been moved from its usual slot of 9.45pm to 10.25pm for the run of Brendan O’Carroll’s new chat show.

Thankfully, Ray D’Arcy seemed to benefit from the schedule change as he attracted an average audience of 326,900.

Speaking to the Herald, an RTE spokesperson told how ratings can vary on weekend nights.

“Saturday night always fluctuates a little bit because of the movie slot. Then there’s a knock-on effect with news,” they said.
