Simon Cowell’s son Eric joins the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel

Simon Cowell’s son Eric will have his very own Golden Buzzer on the Britain’s Got Talent panel this year.

The three-year-old will be allowed to send one act straight through to the live semi-finals, along with judges Simon, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.

The new series will begin later this month, and Simon is said to be delighted with his son’s part in the show as he “truly values Eric’s opinions”, despite his son being just three-years-old.

A source told The Sun, “As everybody knows, Simon loves to keep things fresh on the show. He truly values Eric’s opinions and thinks he has got a great eye for talent.”

“Simon trusts that his son has got what it takes to find Britain’s next big thing.

“There were a few raised eyebrows at first from the other judges and producers. But in the end Simon is the boss and they think it could really help in getting more youngsters than ever to watch the show.”

A BGT spokesman has confirmed the news, saying, “Eric will be a great addition to the panel and is in keeping with the family spirit of the show.”
