Anne Doyle set for RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars

Anne Doyle is set to return to our TV screens, as a contestant on RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars.

The 64-year-old, who retired back in 2011 after 33 years in RTÉ, hopes to make her comeback as she’s the latest celebrity to be linked to the show.

The news comes after Amanda Byram has been confirmed to host the show, however, the Sunday World is now reporting that Angela Scanlon is set to join her.

The Irish beauties could be the next Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, as the show is set to air on January 8.

Amanda hasn’t hosted an Irish series since she left Ireland AM back in 2001. Meanwhile, Angela has been making waves over in the UK, as she’s currently fronting Robot Wars on the BBC.

A number of Irish stars have been hotly tipped for the DWTS presenting role, including Vogue Williams, Brian Dowling, Marty Whelan and Nicky Byrne – however, the Sunday World has reported that Angela is close to signing a deal with show bosses.

Meanwhile, each celebrity contestant is expected to be paid a fee of €3,300, and the winner will scoop a €24,600 prize.
