For the show’s third season this year, filming began in January and didn’t return until May so fans can expect the show’s fourth season to air at the earliest in September, 2017.

Eager fans are happy to wait though as Cillian admitted that people love the show because of the great writing.

“The success of it is down to really great writing,” he told the Birmingham Mail.

“People in America love it, people in Australia love it, people in Poland love it – it’s mad.”
