A Downton Abbey movie has been confirmed.
The news was officially confirmed by Michael Edelstein, the president of NBCUniversal International Studios.
“There’s a movie in the works. It’s been in the works for some time,” he said.
There have been rumours of a movie since the TV Show ended back in 2015.
It appears that the cast haven’t been informed yet though, with Sophie McShera (cook Daisy Mason) saying she hadn’t heard the news.
“We have no idea if that’s happening.But we would all love to be part of the film if it was to happen, for sure”, she  said at the red carpet for Downton Abbey: The Exhibition in Singapore.
The hugely popular show ended its TV run on Christmas Day 2015.
