Ant McPartlin reveals how Prince Harry supported him after leaving rehab

Ant McPartlin has revealed how Prince Harry showed his support, after leaving rehab where he was receiving treatment for a drug and alcohol addiction.

On Sunday, the TV presenter thanked fans and friends for their supportive messages since revealing his addiction problem.

However, Ant has now told how he received a particularly special message from Prince Harry.

“I woke up this morning, getting ready to come here, and was given an envelope,” he told The Sun.

“It was a handwritten note from Harry sending all of his best wishes on behalf of him, William and Catherine and telling me well done for speaking out.

“I wish I’d spoken out a lot earlier. But what a great time to get that letter. Thanks, Haz!” he added.

In his first interview since leaving rehab, the terrified 41-year-old told how he was rushed to hospital at 5am after an “insane” pills binge.

The star revealed in shocking and dramatic detail how he hid a crippling drug addiction and battle with depression from viewers and even his loved ones.

He recalls, “It was five in the morning and I was screaming in pain so I rang Lisa. She was upstairs because I was living in the living room because I couldn’t get around.

“I said, ‘You’re going to have to call me an ambulance. I’m in a bad way’. I was insane. It sends you crazy. It was to the point of hearing things, seeing things in the garden and still the pain was getting worse.

“The ambulance came and took me to Chelsea and Westminster. I was depressed through the whole thing because I was in pain and immobile.”
