Elton John’s close friends have warned him to slow down following his recent health scare.
The singer spent two nights in intensive care last week battling a “deadly infection”and was forced to cancel a number of shows in Las Vegas and California – and now he’s being warned to cut down his busy schedule.
“Elton has a real close knit circle of friends who are genuinely worried about him,” a source told The Sun.

“Nobody wants him to burn himself out and they hope this recent scare will encourage him to take stock.
“But he’s not even considering retirement at present.”
The 70-year-old is now recovering at home after contracting the bug whilst on tour in South America.
Elton is expected to return to the stage at Twickenham Stadium in London on June 3.
