Irish musician Phil Coulter has opened up about wanting to work with Ed Sheeran.
Speaking to Goss.ie at the launch of Proms on the Pier, the Derry man revealed he has no interest in Kanye West.
“Sometimes veterans like myself gets a bit disenchanted with the Kanye Wests, I’ve a limited capcity for that,” he said.
“Then I get encouraged by someone like Ed Sheeran who can go on stage play to 80,000 people with just a little check shirt and his guitar, no bells and whistles, no pyrotechnics, no multi million dollar sets – just him and his songs.
“That for me, is what it’s all about – at the bottom of it all beneath the ha, what I really am is a songwriter so I’ve great respect for songs and songwriters,” the legendary music man told Goss.ie.
